Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in a supported recon mission to explore the progress of this remarkable project. The goal was to get as close as possible to completing the full cross-state journey, charting a path through the vast expanse of the Sunshine State.

The journey was not without its obstacles, as we encountered dead ends on back roads while attempting to cross a middle section of the state. For a 20-mile stretch, we were forced to pick our way through, adapting to the challenges presented by the terrain.
