Once you’ve become comfortable riding your DonkBoard and increasing your endurance, the fun starts with challenging yourself against other long distance LandPaddlers. There are many places and events where you can test your LandPaddling abilities while having fun and engaging with others:
Bicycle Trails

Sanctioned long distance longboard races.
These are only a few places where you can test your skills but our favorite is UltraSkate. Simply stated, UltraSkate is a 24 hour skateboard, longboard, land paddling endurance event to answer the simple question, “How far can one go on a skateboard?” (Quoted by the official UltraSkate website: https://24hourultraskate.com).
It sounds daunting but really quite fun. You have the option of skating a lot or a little. Creating or beating your personal best is always fun.
No matter how far one can ride their longboard, it’s always a healthy experience, and especially fun with DonkBoard.

The marathon feel will allow for spectators to be entertained throughout the day as they cheer the competitors of the skateboard marathon race.
The idea for the modern marathon was inspired by the legend of an ancient Greek messenger who raced from the site of Marathon to Athens, a distance of about 40 kilometers, or nearly 25 miles, with the news of an important Greek victory over an invading army of Persians in 490 B.C. After making his announcement, the exhausted messenger collapsed and died. To commemorate his dramatic run, the distance of the 1896 Olympic marathon was set at 40 kilometers.
